Born : London, UK, 13th January 1969

Height : Not at my height just yet.

Blood Type : A (for anorak, asshole etc.)

Favourite Food : Mr Ito's choco-chip cookies.

Favourite Drink : Beer.

Favourite Pastime : Can't tell you... it's rude.

Favourite Bands : Red Hot Chili Peppers, Infectious Grooves, (Hed) Planet Earth, Dream Theater and anything else with kickin' bass.

Favourite Bassists : Flea, Billy Sheehan, Robert Trujillo, Les Claypool, (the late, great) John Entwhistle (my inspiration for picking up the bass in the first place) and so many other amazing people that I'll never be able to play as well as.

Favourite Gigs : Slayer (Ozzfest, UK, 1996), Sex Pistols (Finsbury Park, London, 1996), Red Hot Chili Peppers (with Dave Navarro, Brixton Academy, London, 1996), Kiss (Castle Donnington, UK, 1996). There were a lot of good UK gigs in 1996 ! The Offspring (Zepp, Fukuoka, 1999).

Likes : Anything that makes you sick if you do too much of it.

Dislikes : People that get in the way.

Gear : Ernie Ball/Musicman Stingray 5, Warwick Thumb 5, Ibanez Soundgear 5 (customised, fretless), 1979 Rickenbacker 4001, Gallien Krueger 700RB amp + GK RKB cabs, Line 6 Bass Pod, Samson Airline Bass Wireless.

Band History

1987-1989 : The Rolling Drunks (pub rock, tours of UK and Germany).

1989-1992 : Galahad (UK progressive Rock, tours of UK and France, local and BBC national radio sessions. Released 1st album "Nothing Is Written"  internationally. To laugh at some photos of me when I was 22, click below :

March 1992 : Moved to Fukuoka, Japan.

1992-1993 : Cathouse (hard rock, who later became....)

1993-1995 : Doghouse ! (hard rock).

1995-1998 : (Moved back to UK to study Master of Arts degree. Played at The Rolling Drunks and Galahad's 10th Anniversary gigs ! Also, Wig Wam Glam (70's UK glam rock).

Sept. 1998 : Moved back to Fukuoka, Japan.

1998-1999 : Reformed Doghouse.

1999-2001 : Channel 80 (hard rock), Geiluvski (rock covers) and Oya Fuko Sabbath (Black Sabbath covers) along with other local Fukuoka stuff.

2001 : Formed Dr. Funkinstein. I also help out other bassist-less Fukuoka bands : Dave Taylor and The Lights Out (pub rock), CreatureofsequentialdigitalnoizZ , Sleepy Sheepdog, The Routes + side project Red Hot Nori Hen (funk rock Hendrix covers !)

 

Ambitions : To better coordinate the living and the learning bits.

Message : Live long and prosper.
